Kris Senanu

 Executive Chairman

Kris Senanu is the Chairman of Blackrock Capital, Kenya, a boutique private equity firm heavily invested in Africa tech sector. For two decades, he has articulated and offered insights into the telco and tech ecosystem as a corporate leader in the enterprise business and as a venture capitalist. He cut his teeth as the youngest Managing Director of East Africa’s first publicly listed tech firm at 35, building it from inception to a successful acquisition by the NTT group. He later supported Kenya’s oldest Telco – Telkom Kenya – towards digital transformation for public and private sector clients.
A salesman by training, an entrepreneur by passion and inspired lead er of businesses that impact Africa, Kris took on the role of Chief Enterprise Officer at Safaricom, where he helped establish the cloud, IOT and government digitization business, making Safaricom Business the defacto digital transformation partner for the government of Kenya. He remains articulate and insightful on Africa’s tech agenda, investing in expertise that make it investment attractive. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, with an MBA in Strategic Management from Warwick Business School. He is a Director of Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems and chairs the Boards of several fintechs in Kenya.

Jennifer Pierre

Strategic Management Consultant

Jennifer Pierre leverages over 20 years of strategic consulting and public-sector experience to deliver tailored, high- impact solutions. With roots at Deloitte & Touche and Booz Allen Hamilton, she leads complex project management and monitoring and evaluation efforts, uses data analytics and impact storytelling to inform decision‐making and drives business development. Jennifer guides executive teams through the full strategic planning process to build resilient, future-focused organizations.

As a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources, she pairs her strategy expertise with deep HR strengths in organizational strengthening, succession planning, and talent acquisition and retention. Fluent in French, Creole and English, she combines analytical rigour with collaborative leadership to uphold Smith & Berkeley’s commitment to bespoke, confidential service and measurable results. A certified Project Management Professional, she holds a BA degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a MSc in Public Health from Harvard University, USA.

Dr. George Manu

With over 30 years of executive and advisory experience – spanning international development, strategy, finance, business support and economic growth across 60 countries in 4 continents – George brings strategic insight, operational competencies and international perspective to clients. Until recently, he was a Partner at KPMG East Africa and head of the firm’s International Development Advisory Services (IDAS) in Africa, leading and managing development programmes and other complex assignments. During his tenure, IDAS managed approximately USD 1.5 billion funds on behalf of some of the biggest names in development finance. He also served as the KPMG Africa Lead Partner for the World Bank and Deputy Lead Partner for the African Development Bank, positioning him at the nexus of finance and development. His experience extends to Board-level governance across multiple sectors including private equity, professional service firms, privatisation, public-private sector partnerships, sustainability and audit quality oversight. He holds a PhD in Business Administration from Durham University, UK and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He speaks several languages and holds a Private Pilot’s Licence.

Faith Munyi is a Practice Lead – Organization & People Transformation at Smith & Berkeley, advising leading organizations across Pan-African markets on large-scale transformation and value creation. She brings deep cross-industry expertise spanning Financial Services, Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, Fintech, Edtech, and Marketing, with a strong track record of delivering enterprise-wide change in complex, high-growth environments.

Faith specializes in aligning business strategy, operating models, organizational design, culture, and workforce capabilities to drive sustainable performance. She partners closely with CEOs and CXO-level leaders to shape and deliver culture transformation, leadership enablement, and change programs at scale.

As a Lead, she is responsible for setting the strategic direction and growth of the Organization & People Transformation practice, building senior client relationships, developing high-performing consulting teams, and delivering measurable commercial and organizational outcomes. Her approach combines global consulting rigour, commercial acumen, and deep people expertise to help organizations navigate complexity and achieve sustainable impact.

As the former head of a successful HR consultancy, which she led for eight years, Sheila advised executive teams across multiple sectors on workforce transformation, capability development, and HR strategy execution. Under her leadership, organizations achieved improved operational efficiency, stronger employee engagement, and sustainable talent retention. Known for her ability to operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, Sheila is a trusted partner to senior leadership, providing insight that informs critical business decisions.
